The story so far..
Unlike many other photographers, I wasn’t born with a camera in my hand. I had very little interest in photography for most of my life, and learnt what an f-stop was at the tender age of 27. I pursued a career in graphic design and worked as a senior designer for some of the biggest advertising agencies in Sydney, London and Melbourne.
But after more than a decade in the industry I became quite disillusioned with the temporary nature of advertising campaigns. You’d be pouring your life into something day and night, only to have it discarded after a few months to start again. I wanted to create something that was valuable and long lasting while still being creative and unique. I started to become interested in architectural photography mainly due to my design background. I assisted a world famous architectural photographer for a while..but nearly died of boredom. Yep, not for me!
So as the path of life wound, I found myself photographing weddings and found my perfect niche. The more I photographed weddings the more I enjoyed the process and working with my clients. I saw that wedding photography didn’t have to be cheesy or cringey.. That it can be an art form, creative yet classic, simple yet incredibly complex, all in the same composition.
